Payment

After placing your order, you will usually see that the purchase amount has immediately been debited from your account. The payment reference often contains your order number. If something is unclear, check which situation applies to you:

Order not paid, purchase amount has not been debited.

In this case, payment processing has failed. You can place a new order with confidence, even when you’ve already received an order number.

Order paid, but haven’t received an order confirmation.

Your order confirmation will generally arrive within an hour of placing the order. We advise you to check if this email is in your spam folder. Naturally, we will be happy to assist you if you have not received this.

Order confirmation received, but no track & trace.

You will receive all information about your delivery as soon as your order is on its way.
We try to make payment as easy as possible for you. You can complete your order securely using the following payment methods:
 
  • Credit card: with your Visa, Mastercard or American Express
  • PayPal: with the ease of your PayPal account
  • Klarna: buy now and split your total into 4 easy payments
  • Gift card: enter a gift card code at the ‘Payment’ step. You will be able to see if there is anything left to pay.
  • Other third party gift cards: please check with your provider if your gift card is redeemable at Rituals.
  • Apple Pay: this option will appear when your order is being placed on an Apple device.
You can use your gift card as a payment method via our website. After selecting the desired delivery time in your shopping cart, you can pay with your gift card in the final step. On the payment page (step 3) select the 'RITUALS gift card' option and enter the 19-figure code and 6-figure pin.

Please note: do not enter your gift card as a discount code in the shopping cart.

Insufficient balance on your gift card, or do you have more than one? This is also possible of course! After entering your first gift card, you can select a new payment method for the remaining payment amount.
 

Tip: keep your gift card for 90 days after placing your order. In case of any refunds, we will return the purchase amount to that card.

Have you received a Rituals gift card? You can check how much you have to spend using our balance checker. The code consists of 19 figures with a 6-figure pin code (under the scratch layer).
The Rituals gift card has unlimited validity and can be used at any time. You do not have to use your gift card in one transaction. Any remaining credit will remain on the card for the next purchase.
If your order payment was unsuccessful, try emptying your shopping cart and then deleting your cookies (instructions for this vary per browser and you can find them easily using a search engine such as Google). Usually you can complete your order once your cookies have been removed.

Tip: also try another browser, a different device or our Rituals app if the payment is unsuccessful.

We send your invoice digitally. After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation with an overview of your order. We will send the invoice digitally when the parcel is on its way, the link to your invoice can be found in the e-mail with your track & trace code.

If you have placed a larger order where multiple parcels are being sent, you will receive your invoice in the last shipment confirmation e-mail.

There is no packing slip or invoice in your package. This is so you can confidently place an online order to surprise someone with our delicious products.

Post-payment is possible with Klarna, this allows you to buy now and split your total into 4 easy payments. If you return (part of) your order to us within the payment term, your invoice will be automatically adjusted.

Tip: for some questions, it’s best to contact Klarna directly. For example, if Klarna does not accept your data or when you want to postpone your payment.
