Post-work yoga flow to switch off the mind & relax the body

Designed to melt away stress and tension from your work day or shift, with a focus on the breath and twisting, you’ll literally feel yourself unwinding.

How do you relax? I like to disconnect from work on the mat. This post-work yoga flow, consisting of relaxing yoga poses, melts away stress from body and mind. A strong flow, it is designed to clear your body and mind of any lingering tension from the work day. We will focus on posture, breath and mindful movement, with plenty of twisting.

During the flow I’ll take you through various yoga poses including high lunge with a twist to strengthen quads and glutes that can become weak from desk-bound jobs, this move also helps to develop stamina and endurance, improves balance and concentration whilst also relieving tension.

Bridge pose eliminates fatigue in the back that can come from too much standing or sitting, it stretches your chest, neck and spine, opens the heart and relieves postural tension.

Another favourite is reclining twist which is a great antidote to poor posture habits—it re-aligns the spine, relaxes the back and shoulders, opens the heart and can help create feelings of relaxation, wellbeing and connection. Next time you have a stressful day at work, try this fast-acting flow.
