Yoga flow for ultimate calm

Activate your vagus nerve with this flow to ease anxiety, relieve stress and aid relaxation.

If you’re feeling stressed and you’re on social media, chances are your TikTok algorithm has picked up on it and served you a video or two about activating your vagus nerve. The idea is that if you activate your vagus nerve you can reset your nervous system. How? Well, by activating the vagus nerve you, in turn, kickstart your parasympathetic nervous system responsible for rest and digest. When your parasympathetic nervous system is working it means you are free from danger (think the fight or flight response that ramps up cortisol, the stress hormone).

This gentle, restorative flow is focused on activating the vagus nerve, anchoring and grounding the body, and putting both body and mind into a place of relaxation. The combination of breathwork and yoga poses will help you feel calm whatever life throws at you.
