Answers from our experts
Do you offer a refill for the Melting Cleansing Balm?
Not yet, but we are looking into it!
Should the Melting Cleansing Balm be used alone or only as part of a double cleanse?
The melting cleansing balm can be used alone or paired with any of our other cleansers. Once it has melted, the balm turns into an oil cleanser, so if you're doing a double cleanse, use this melting cleansing balm first to get rid of sunscreen, (waterproof) makeup, colour cosmetics and urban pollution, etc. The second step would be to use a water-based cleanser or a water-soluble cleanser like The Ritual of Namaste Micellar Water.
How does the Melting Cleansing Balm differ from the Cleansing Balm?
The melting cleansing balm has a richer texture than the regular cleansing balm, which has more of a lighter, jelly feel. With ingredients like shea butter and vegetable waxes, the melting cleansing balm transforms from a paste into a silky cleansing oil, which is particularly good for dry, scaly and sensitive skin.
Can the Melting Cleansing Balm be used as a mask?
Yes, you can use the melting cleansing balm as a mask for added nourishment, simply leave on for a few minutes and then wash off. The melting cleansing balm should always be used as a first step in your skincare routine. As it melts into an oily cleanser, make sure not to leave on longer than a couple of minutes so the oil doesn’t run into your eyes.
